In this episode, we discuss the role of national courts in enforcing international humanitarian law.
Our guest is Professor Riyad Saeed Al-Hamdi, an expert in international humanitarian law and a certified international trainer in training of trainers (TOT) from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). He is also a certified international trainer with the Swiss organization Geneva Call. He previously served as the head of the International Humanitarian Law Center in Libya and is considered one of the leading contributors to disseminating the culture of international humanitarian law in Libya through organizing courses and workshops for judges, prosecutors, and law enforcement officers. As a member of the judiciary, he possesses experience that combines academic and practical expertise in the legal field.
